Behind Closed Doors are artists Arlene Burnett, Paul Newman and Leon Trimble. Arlene and Paul started working together after they completed their Masters in Fine Art at the University of Central England in 2004, where they began curating exhibitions out of the ‘traditional’ gallery setting. Leon was invited to take part in the 18th Storey – The Haddon Tower Project in 2006 and has been working with them ever since. The latest project by Behind Closed Doors is The Rea Garden. The Rea Garden is a small area of land cut off from the public for almost twenty years within the once industrial Digbeth area of Birmingham. The Rea Garden is host to a series of artist residencies during 2009 and 2010.
